The town hall was briefly interrupted twice by hecklers, including one who shouted “Occupy Staten Island!”

Both were led from the room by security.

And about 40 Occupy Wall Street protesters gathered along the Hilton’s South Avenue entrance.

“Newt is a prime example of the worst parts of our society,” said Bill Johnson of West Brighton.

“I don’t like Newt or anything he stands for,” said Camella Matos, also of West Brighton.

“He’s partially responsible for the problems this country is facing.”
